Organisers Statement: A 10k trail race along the Thames path set under the stunning backdrop of Windsor Castle. The course is flat and follows the river along some fantastic scenery. You won't just be racing your fellow competitors but 5 large French brothers pace boats that will be full of your friends and family that will be sailing up and down the Thames in set times of 40,50,55, 60 and 70 mins respectively and the aim is to get back before the boat you are racing. The event will be fully marshalled with bespoke medal and technical tee shirt for all runners. Course Description: The course starts and finishes on a grass field with Windsor castle as a backdrop with the majority of the rest of the course run along the beautiful Thames Path on compacted gravel and trail, with short sections of the course run on concrete. The course starts with a loop of the field (in order to spread runners out)before running along the towpath past Boveney Lock where the course then loops around heading back towards Eton Wick playing fields before returning to the towpath and retracing its steps to the finish Course Navigation: None required - All turns will be fully marshalled (We will also have a lead bike and tail runners)
