The most important thing to know about this trail race is that at the finish line you will receive a very generous amount of complimentary local cheese samples as well as a goodie bag with cheese, crackers and port. Much better than a medal and shirt, right? Join us on November 1st 2026 in the stunning Peak District village of Hartington for our short (5.2 mile) or long (10.2 mile) trail race exploring the picturesque, and sheltered, Dales of Beresford, Wolfscote, and Biggin. There will be plenty of event signage and friendly marshals along the courses to make sure you make it back to our event HQ where we've partnered with the historic local Hartington Cheese Shop to satisfy your post-run hunger. The event operates a staggered start meaning generous cut-off times and plenty of space on the trails to enjoy the wonderful scenery on offer. Beginners and experienced explorers all welcomed.
