Trails For Good are back with another delicious adventure through the Peak District National Park, and it is a special one for runners and spectators alike! Working with fantastic local partners including Errwood Sailing Club, Forest Distillery, and Hot Chocolaterie, we've crafted two challenging but delicious trail routes including a 10km (325m elevation) and 17km (505m elevation) that lead you from the serenity of Errwood Reservoir to the wild and high-altitude Cat & Fiddle Inn before drinking in some of the most amazing far reaching views the Peak District has to offer. What makes this event so unique, is that as you summit we'll stop your race time to give you 10-minutes to go into the iconic Cat & Fiddle Inn where the wonderful folks at Forest Distillery have created a VIP aid station for you and your friends and family. Grab yourself some refreshments, celebrate the climb, and head back out the door to restart your time on the trails because there's more! Leaving the Cat & Fiddle, the course splits sending Long course runners over the highest point in Cheshire to drink in an expansive view of the Dark Peak as well as far reaching views stretching to Manchester, the Forest of Bowland and the Clwydian Range. Short route runners have a satisfying downhill ahead of them with a picture postcard view of Errwood Reservoir and the finish line in sight. It's possible that you won't want your time on the trails to end, but waiting for you back at race HQ will be a well-earnt complimentary Forest Distillery treat as well as luxury chocolates from the wonderful Buxton based Hot Chocolaterie, as well as plenty more post-race fuel from our hosts, Errwood Sailing Club. To top it all off, by entering this Trails For Good race you'll be supporting local food and drink producers as well as local trail repair and nature regeneration through our partnership with the Peak District Foundation. *please note that both routes require mandatory kit, see our website for details.
