A trail race starting from the Visitor Centre, heading up the hill (Fourth Avenue) on a wide grassy path becoming gravel near the top. Then turning right onto the 'Shelter Belt', a wide rough surface path for some distance to turn right into Lincewood where the path becomes unmade as it winds through the woods to the turn point where runners join the main bridleway (uneven path) down hill to Langdon Hills Recreation ground where they follow the edge of the grassy field and join the bridle way (rough surface) heading back towards the Plotlands area. There they turn right onto a smooth hard parked gravel path (Hillcrest Ave) which goes flat for some distance before heading steeply downhill (Stack Ave) then left steeply uphill (Fourth Ave) to turn into the meadow. They follow the top of the meadow (glorious views of London on a clear day) and turn right down the field to the lake. They go through the kissing gate, turn right and run round the lake following the hard packed smooth path. They then turn left up the packed gravel path (First Avenue) to the top turning right on the grassy bridleway then right down the gravel path (Third Avenue) to the finish at the visitor centre. Much of the race takes place on the old Plotlands estate from WW2 which forms an integral part of the nature reserve, hence the road names.
