Organisers Statement: The River Relay is a 5 leg baton relay run over a total distance of approx. 27.2 miles, from Boveney near Windsor to Teddington, Middlesex. Contact the organiser for details of the team make up. The race follows the Thames Path. The stage lengths are in a range of 4.7 to 6.5 miles. Course Description: The course broadly follows the Thames Path from the start in Boveney which is 2 miles West of Windsor, to Teddington which is 1.5 miles north of Kingston Bridge. The terrain is generally flat and easy, mostly on made river paths but with some grass sections and minor roads. Course Navigation: Navigation is very straight forward and mainly on the river paths. Stage maps are available with route instructions. The race is ideally suited to those with limited trail/off road experience.
